Motivated by what they took as a challenge coming out of Jamaica that no country would leave the 2011 Carifta Games with gold, the Bahamians journeyed to Montego Bay with 70 athletes to take the lion’s share of medals and end Jamaica’s quarter-century hold on the Games. Full Story »

Rusheen McDonald, a Class 1 student-athlete at Garvey Maceo High School was the big star of the Carifta Trials, held at the National Stadium East Field March 19-20. The lad, who will miss Champs due to a late entry by his school, put on a gutsy performance to win the Under-20 Boys 400. Full Story »
