Barbados 100m Hurdles Champion: “There’s More to Come”

Kierre Beckles, the 21-yr-old Barbados women’s national 100m hurdles record holder is on a mission this season. The Pineland native, a junior at the University of South Carolina, broke her compatriot Andrea Blackett’s 6-yr-old record of 13.39secs in 2009 as an 18-yr-old student at Central Arizona College (Central Arizona), setting the new mark at 13.25. Crimson Tide’s Dwayne Extol on the Road to Recovery

At the prestigious 2010 Jamaican Boys and Girls Athletics Championships or “Champs 100”, Dwayne Extol lead his high school team, Wolmer’s Boys, to victory. The versatile Extol was instrumental in giving his team valuable points by competing in the 200m, 400m, 400m hurdles and the 4x1 and 4x4 relays. Full Story »
