Led by junior Semoy Hackett’s gold-medal winning performance for Trinidad & Tobago (T&T) in the women’s 4x100m relay, the LSU track and field program added three more medals to its haul at this year’s Central American & Caribbean Senior Championships during Saturday’s second day of championship action and one on Sunday, the finale, at the La Pedrera. The reigning Jamaica 400m hurdles champion Leford Green, representing Johnson C. Smith University (JCSU) in the US, captured both the open 400m (46.43) and the 400m hurdles (50.17) at the 2011 Tiger Track Classic on the campus of the University of Auburn over the weekend (Apr. 2). Full Story »

Louisiana State University (LSU) continued its record-breaking form yesterday, the second and final day of the LSU Tiger Relays, at the newly renovated Bernie Moore Track Stadium. The men’s and women’s teams made it a historic weekend by capturing six relay titles, and five Caribbean athletes were a big part of the mix. Full Story »
