Former 100m world record holder Asafa Powell captured the 200m title at the 2010 Jamaica National Senior Championships earlier this evening. Powell made up the stagger and by the top of the curve had a 5-meter lead on the field before powering his way to a season best 19.97 secs. Full Story »

Jamaica’s Usain ‘Lightning’ Bolt blazed to victory in the 200m, in a meet record 19.76 secs at the IAAF Diamond League Shanghai today. Bolt, who ran 19.56 in the 200m at the Jamaican Invitational in May 8, 2010, promised that he would work hard in this race. The reigning Olympics and World Championships 200m record holder ran a control race, sprinting away from the USA duo of Angelo Taylor (20.34) and Ryan Bailey (20.43). Bolt’s compatriot and training partner, Marvin Anderson, was 4th in a season best 20.48 secs. Full Story »
