Jamaica's Schillonie Calvert Arrives With 11.05secs.

Jamaica’s Schillonie Calvert blasted a good field to win the 100m in The Netherlands today. She clocked a legal 11.05secs (1.7w) to dispose of the veteran Bahamas’s Debbie Ferguson-McKenzie (11.12) and Ruddy Zang of Gabon (11.23). The US trio of LaShauntea Moore, Stephanie Durst, and Barbara Pierre ran fourth, fifth and sixth in 11.27, 11.31, and 11.45, respectively. Full Story »

Caribbean Stars to Watch At NCAA Regionals This Weekend

The NCAA Regional begins tomorrow, May 26, and goes through to Saturday May 28. There are two regional meets: East and West. The top 12 finishers from each regional will square off at the NCAA Championships to be held June 8-11, 2011 in Des Moines, Iowa. The East Regional will take place at Indiana University while the West Regional is being held in Eugene, Oregon. Full Story »

Several Caribbean Top Spots at Miami Meet

A Trinidad and Tobago men’s team won the 4x100m relay at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational track and field meet, held at Miami’s Cobb Stadium on Saturday, the 16th. The squad of Richard Thompson, Keston Bledman, Rondel Sorrillo and Darrel Brown registered 39.04secs ahead of Louisiana State University (LSU), 39.96. Full Story »

Outstanding Performances at NCAA Weekend Meets

Caribbean Athletes Key in LSU Tiger Relay Victories

LSU Signs Essex Jamaican Sprint Hurdler
