Oneil Sandiford, a junior at Paul Robeson High School in Brooklyn, New York, was one of the true shining stars at the 116th Penn Relays in Philadelphia over the weekend. Benjamin Cardozo High School in Queens, New York, boasts a cadre of gritty female athletes, including some with Caribbean roots. With their string of successes, the young ladies aren’t afraid to take their talent and fierce rivalry to the track. Last season, the team ended competition on a high note; this year, indications at the start of the Indoor season are things will be no different, even though two members of the Reebok record-breaking 4x4 team are no longer with the squad and the focus is on rebuilding.
